How to convert inches to pixels
"I NEED AN IMAGE THAT'S 4 INCHES BY 4 INCHES. HOW DO I CREATE THIS IN THE GRAPHICS CREATOR?"
Excellent question.
This is tricky, but it can be done.
The Graphics Creator is meant mainly for web use. Inches are for the 'real world'. :)
The Graphics Creator uses Pixels (that's what the numbers on the sliders are: Pixels)
So, first you'll have to convert inches to pixels.
I used this tool: https://www.unitconverters.net/typography/inch-to-pixel-x.htm
I put in 4 (inches)
and it converted to "384" (pixels)
but! I'm sure you'll need to print this. So You'll have to upsize this number by 3 and a half
384 x 3.5 = 1344
SO, in The Graphics Creator, set your canvas to 1344 x 1344 (which should eventually be 4 inches by 4 inches when you print)
Design your masterpiece within that frame.
Download it from the Graphics Creator.
THEN, we need to convert the image to "300 dpi" ... so one last step, use THIS tool:
https://clideo.com/dpi-converter
Upload your design to the converter, then - when the software asks, set your DPI to "300"
Taaa Daaa!
I know that sounds complex
Here are the steps:
1: What size in inches do you need?
2: use this tool to convert the inches to pixels:
https://www.unitconverters.net/typography/inch-to-pixel-x.htm
3: Whatever the number comes out to, multiply it by 3.5
4: Set you canvas size to this number
5: Design your artwork in this canvas size
6: Download your design from the Graphics Creator
7: Convert to "300 dpi" with this tool: https://clideo.com/dpi-converter
That will do it for you. :D
